Scope & Content Three pocket sized diaries kept by C.S. Primrose Advance Agent for various circuses in the late 19th century. Included are hand written routes for the J.H. La Pearl Circus for the 1893, 1894 and 1896 seasons including route lists, licensing and other advertisement expenses. The diaries also include news clippings regarding promotions for coming shows, in some cases pasted atop expense records, and testimonials of Mr. Primrose's estimable character.

Also found in the diaries are hand written route lists for the Cook and Whitby Circus, Cullrane's Minstrels, and Dan Robinson's Circus all for the 1894 season and a route list for the Lewis Bros. Circus in 1935.
