Wardrobe drawing for three of six act ladies as Show Boat ladies in street parade; one lady in pink, one lady in red, and one lady in purple. All ladies have large hats with feathers and long boas in matching colors.
This package of art work represents production numbers Don Foote designed for the Red Unit 1977 or 1979. They were all rejected by Irvin Feld.
Forms a part of CWM Mss 72 Boccia, Arthur Papers. This collection contains 1,171 wardrobe drawings of Don Foote (1932-1984), wardrobe designer for the Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus from 1962 through the early 1980s. The drawings provide a detailed documentation of the elaborate costuming for the Ringling circus in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. Many of the drawings in this collection eventually were transformed into real costumes used on the show. A lesser number of drawings never made it to full production.
