This collection contains 1,171 wardrobe drawings of Don Foote (1932-1984), wardrobe designer for the Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus from 1962 through the early 1980s. The drawings provide a detailed documentation of the elaborate costuming for the Ringling circus in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. Many of the drawings in this collection eventually were transformed into real costumes used on the show. A lesser number of drawings never made it to full production.
